Clintons Retail Assistant/ Merchandiser

2013 - Present

I am currently working as a retail assistant in one of the most fast paced Clinton stores in the UK. I am constantly merchandising the store including display tables and creating eye catching window displays. With it being a card store we change the layout and products, with each season which means we have to work at a fast pace in short periods of time.

Edinburgh International Festival

Summer of 2012

Over the summer 2012 I worked with the Edinburgh International Festival, designing and creating graphics for three window displays and one in store installation. I designed windows for Waterstone's, John Lewis and the department store Jenner's. I had a couple of weeks to design the graphics, and four days to install the three windows and the installation. This project was very valuable to me as it gave me experience in visual merchandising, creative design, time management and problem solving.

University Live briefs

2009 - 2012

Throughout my university course we were given live briefs, which meant we were actually designing for real clients and projects. This included designing websites and promotional items, including leaflets and posters. This taught me a lot about keeping to deadlines, and seeing a project from the beginning design stages to the final printing. I enjoy designing for clients and thrive in pressured situations including short deadlines.
